Igor Karash is an award-winning illustrator who has worked in multiple disciplines from book illustration and graphic novels to theater scenic design. Igor’s client list includes Folio Society in London, JSJ Productions in New York, Top Shelf Productions, Easton Press, and Centipede Press among others.

Igor’s illustrator profile is part of the TASCHEN’s The Illustrator 100 Best Illustrators from around the Globe edition curated by Steven Heller and Julius Wiedemann.

Lately, Igor has begun to focus on themes of tyranny, war, and despotism as cautionary tales, dystopian stories, and an illustrated series on political prosecution and resurgent forms of fascism.

Igor’s work has been recognized by numerous prestigious illustra­tion and design competitions, including World Illustration Awards (AOI) in London, Hiiibrand in China, Luerzer’s Archive in Vienna, American Illustration (a-i / a-p), Society of Illustrators in New York, as well as Creative Quarterly Magazine, 3x3 Magazine, and Graphis.

Igor’s visual commentary series Kremlin Theatre of Absurd will be part of the Bloomsbery edition ILLUSTRATION: A Theoretical and Contextual Perspective by Alan Male.
